$100,000 Gold Saphire Luxury iPhone 5 Case

“For the distinguished buyer who wants to stand out among the masses” The Natural Sapphire Company has just announced their one-of-a-kind $100,000 jewel encrusted 18kt white gold iPhone 5 case “is the iPhone case to end all cases.”

Want to stand out as unique and hold something that literally screams “I have more money than I know what to do with!!” Well if so then feast your eyes on this baby. Because apparently getting a precision milled titanium and 18kt gold Gresso iPhone case is just too pedestrian for some.

Designed from 18 carat white gold, the case has 2830 blue ceylon sapphires inlayed in it for a total of 169.8 carats (not carrots). The Apple logo has 38 rubies for a total of 2.28 carats, and one green marquise-cut sapphire for the Apple’s leaf.

*Note from editor: Apparently they wanted to go with a red apple instead of the more colorful rainbow design from Apple’s past. Personally I would have preferred that, it would have been a nice touch, and that’s why I’m not going to be buying this case.

Why would anybody spend $100k on an iPhone 5 case?? Well, let’s let the press release speak for itself:

“The industry predicts that Apple will sell an estimated 45 Million iPhone 5 units by this coming Holiday season, so though you may be the “cool one” who gets it first, in no short amount of time you will be just another iPhone 5 owner, just like any of the other 44,999,999 owners.  So even though the excitement of this new iPhone will last, well, maybe a few months – let The Natural Sapphire Company make your excitement last forever.”

Yes, let your excitement last forever… Or for at least 1 year until Apple comes out with the next iPhone and your stupidly expensive case now only fits “last years tech” and all your friends laugh and point at you at your fancy parties while they show off their fancy iPhone 6’s (or maybe iPhone 5S… who knows).

So, instead of spending money to help the world, please, purchase this instead. And remember you will only look ridiculous for a year, but your embarrassment will last a lifetime.

You can probably expect more stunts like this in the near future from companies trying to piggy back on the iPhone 5 success and media exposure. Heck, it worked for this blog!
